I started my career in graphic design so everything I do has a creative flare. Whether you are writing copy, creating a new website, or just need a t-shirt for a good cause -- design is everything!
I have a full time gig that I love, but because I'm "in marketing" I have lots of friends and family who were seeking help and guidance to get their businesses noticed. I created Macik Market to help small businesses in need of professional marketing advice, creative direction, and content planning.
I was lucky enough to spawn two amazing daughters, Lauren and Jessica who are helping me in this venture. Meet them here.
I am a TexasEx with a Bachelor’s in Advertising (hook 'em). Today, I work with Tilted Chair Creative, a locally owned Austin advertising agency. My role is to focus on project/account management and business development while maintaining a passion for great design. I am an avid reader of adage, adweek, and TED. You will constantly find me researching and sharing from my favorite publications and authors with my peers, to help expand and challenge my way of thinking.
My current reads: "Bad Feminist" by Roxane Gay and "Switch: How to Change Things When Change Is Hard" by Chip & Dan Heath
I also love my dog, she welcomes new followers on her Instagram @nushkathepup.
I am a Communication Design major at Texas State University, where I am studying graphic design, logo development, typography, and corporate branding. I am an avid Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator professional with over five years experience in photo and copy editing, currently working as a designer for The University Star http://star.txstate.edu/.
My aim is to make my clients happy. If you don't enjoy what I have designed, let's start over. I am currently taking on many new design projects to build my portfolio and develop my signature style.
I am working with a 2015 MacBook Air with the full Adobe Suite of design products at the ready. My current portfolio includes copy editing, editorial writing, photography watermarks, t-shirt designs, logos, brochures, calendars, and business cards.
