About Me

Rachel Macik is a dynamic marketing leader with a reputation for building high-performing teams who are curious, creative, and innovative. Rachel is the VP of Product Marketing for FIS Global. She has made a measurable impact on growth and renewal yield throughout her career with proven success for Fortune 500 companies such as Schlumberger, Atos, Cisco, and FIS.

Rachel joined FIS in 2021 to gain experience in the FinTech space. As face-to-face communication came to a halt in 2020, marketing content became more and more important - especially with a company that has decades of history building in-person relationships in the banking and payments space. Her first order of business was to audit content and messaging to help new buyers build a virtual relationship and current customers discover new solutions. Next, she stood up a product marketing organization to build tight relationships with product management and reinvent product launches. Finally, her team is continually revamping content to simplify our messaging. FIS is a mature company with a complex portfolio - together with the brand team we were able to roll out hundreds of new assets to compete in this growing space.

Rachel has hosted several design thinking sessions across the organization to encourage teams to think differently about what keeps their customers up at night. Getting out of PowerPoint and into ideation boards has created a new way to build empathy with the Fintech community. These design thinking sessions have garnered new messaging, new content ideas, and a deep understanding between sales, product, and marketing of what customers are looking for and when. She believes the more comfortable people are with deeply understanding customers' needs, the better we can explain next-gen Fintech to the next-gen workforce. Rachel is also an advocate for early-in-career employees and is part of the FIS Empower - Women's Inclusion Network to mentor tomorrow's marketeers and contribute to building an inclusive workspace.

Guiding principles

Be curious

Every challenge is an opportunity for design. Enter new projects with curiosity. Ask, how might we… to co-create a variety of possible solutions from your team. Curiosity-led conversations create new viewpoints, unexpected ideas, and stronger outcomes.

Be creative

Make it clear, make it right, make it beautiful. Approach conversations and content from multiple points of view, to build genuine connections and greater common understanding. Creativity and empathy build stronger connections and true inspiration.

Be innovative

What got you here won’t get you there.
